Claire Morand to Defend Her PhD Thesis
On December 5th, 2025, Claire Morand will defend her PhD thesis, “Unsaturated polyesters from maleic acid: Towards novel bio-based photocurable resins for additive manufacturing,” in the Aula Ada Lovelace of the Faculty of Informatics (Donostia).
Supervised by Prof. Haritz Sardon and Dr. Coralie Jehanno, Claire’s research explores the development of innovative bio-based materials for additive manufacturing. Her work focuses on synthesizing unsaturated polyesters derived from maleic acid and designing new photocurable resins with reduced environmental impact. This project contributes to the advancement of sustainable polymer chemistry and next-generation manufacturing technologies.
The thesis will be evaluated by a distinguished committee composed of:
• Prof. José Berrocal (ICIQ) – President
• Prof. Ainara Sangroniz (EHU) – Secretary
• Dr. Thomas Vidil (LCPO, Bordeaux University) – Member
POLYMAT extends its best wishes to Claire Morand for her upcoming defense and recognizes the significance of her contributions to the field of sustainable polymer science.
